In 1985 Andy Warhol produced the first Trainer on a canvas with the Puma Invader. (If you don’t count Lichtensteins 1960s Keds Basketball pumps).
40 years ago Wade Smith were selling Trimm Trab at £29.99, sales of which accounted for 80% of first year sales.
We’re commemorating 40 years on from Wade Smiths opening with a design inspired by that classic first Trainer painting.
